Innovation Academy Students Present Projects to School Board

Seventh and eighth grade students from the Innovation Academy at Lincoln Junior High School presented project campaigns to the Plymouth School Board this week.

The eighth grade students presented a texting while driving awareness campaign where they gave information on the hazards of the action. Equations and science of operating a car while driving were included in the presentation and an overall message of safety. The link to a public safety message can be found here.

The seventh grade students offered their research on an ongoing foot health issue in African children involving jiggers. They support an organization called Sole Hope. The organization helps gather resources to clean feet and provides shoes to prevent health problems in the youth there.

It was noted that a campaign will be deemed most effective and will move forward to the next step in the fundraising process.

The board members praised the students on their knowledge and research of their respective subjects.
