Marshall County Sheriff Matt Hassel’s contract for 2017 was approved by the county council Monday. It calls for the sheriff to receive $85,506 next year and was already approved by the county commissioners and the sheriff.
Also during Monday’s meeting, the council voted to reappoint Mark Wickizer to another four-year term as the council’s representative on the Marshall County Board of Zoning Appeals. Additionally, outgoing council member Steve Harper was recognized for his four years on the council, as well as 14 years before that on the Marshall County Election Board.
