news-2U.S. News and World Report released its ranking of best high schools by state and a Marshall County school rounds out the top 15.

The rankings were released last week, and evaluate schools across the country on several criteria, including: student/teacher ratio, test scores, college readiness, and graduation rates, among others.

The annual report is well known for ranking high schools across the country. Its inter-state rankings were recently released, providing school corporations an opportunity to learn more about their performance and promote some of their successes.

Plymouth High School was ranked the #15 best high school in the state of Indiana. John Glenn High School in Walkerton ranked #19 on that same list.

The report notes in its overview of Plymouth High School that it was awarded a Silver Medal. That designation indicates high performance, but often paired with work that needs to be done on their college readiness abilities.

The Signature School in Evansville was awarded the honor of the top high school in the Hoosier state.
