Sen. Donnelly Calls Pence’s Blame Disappointing in Carrier Statement

joe-donnelly-final-2-e1291161114152U.S. Senator Joe Donnelly is criticizing Governor Mike Pence’s plans to persuade executives with Carrier and United Technologies to keep their operations in Indiana.

The company intends to move 2-thousand jobs to Monterrey, Mexico in the coming years due to what they claim are federal regulations. Operations currently reside in Indianapolis and Huntington County.

Senator Donnelly says he read the Governor’s comments on the situation closely, and said he has found inconsistencies behind the reasons for the company’s move. According to Donnelly, Carrier said it will continue to be subject to the same federal regulations if it intends to sell products in the United States.

The Democratic Senator has designs to schedule a meeting with their executives and press them on this point. Donnelly further elaborated, saying Pence’s blame of other parties is disappointing.
