The Marshall County Council will consider a request to expand the EMA Department after the matter was taken-up by the County Commissioners, last week.
EMA Director Clyde Avery has requested permission to hire a Deputy EMA Director to aid in his grant application efforts and assistance with emergency situations. The Commissioners said the recommendation was a good idea not only to even the workload of the EMA Department, but also to provide added security in the Marshall County Building.
This morning’s County Council meeting will start at 9:00 a.m. at the Marshall County Building.
