The Marshall County Commissioners will discuss the possibility of a timber sale with the manager of a Marshall County forest.
Bruce Wakeland will address the board about the possibility. Typically timber sales manage forested areas on county-owned land while the revenue is used to further preservation and management efforts.
Wakeland manages forests in both Starke and Marshall County with similar programs in place. The proposal being considered this morning will involve the Mill Pond area.
The Commissioners will also consider an item related to mobile home park permits. This morning’s meeting begins at 9:30 a.m. EST at the Marshall County Building.
