Plymouth Students to Take Part in ‘Hour of Code’

Students at Riverside Intermediate School in Plymouth are among the tens of millions throughout the world who are taking the first steps to learn the basics of computer science. Riverside students are taking part in the Hour of Code this week.

It’s a campaign in which students and people of all ages are asked to set aside an hour this week to complete a coding tutorial. Organizers say it’s designed to be a fun way to get students interested in computer science. They also say it helps develop problem-solving skills, logic, and creativity.

Sixth-graders at Riverside will be taking part in the event Friday, while fifth-graders participated on Tuesday. For more information or to give it a try yourself, visit HourOfCode.com.
