Saturday Storm Brings Winter Weather Advisory for much of Northern Indiana

winter-weatherThe National Weather Service has declared a Winter Weather Advisory for much of Northern Indiana, Saturday.

Starke, Pulaski, and Marshall counties are included in the alert area – which began at 7:00 a.m. and is expected to continue until 7:00 p.m. eastern time on Saturday, November 21st.

Several inches of snowfall is predicted for much of the area with the possibly of lake effect snow impacting certain areas into the evening hours. Possible accumulation between three and six inches is being forecast. That’s an increase from Friday morning’s prediction of between two and four inches of snowfall.

Accuweather.com is predicting as much as 10 inches of accumulation in certain areas.

Reduced visibility and snow covered roadways may cause travel difficulties.
