Caucus Scheduled to Fill Bremen Council Vacancy

vote2Republican Party officials in Marshall County will caucus on Thursday, Nov. 5 at 5 p.m. to fill a vacancy on the Bremen Town Council. Heath Thornton was elected to the county council to replace Matt Hassel, who was chosen by party leaders to fill the remainder of late Sheriff Tom Chamberin’s term. Thornton’s resignation from the county council creates an opening at the town level. Candidates have until Monday, Nov. 2 at noon to declare their candidacy to either the Marshall County Clerk or in person to the party chairman.

All persons eligible to take part in the caucus will be notified by mail at least 10 days before the special election.
