Plymouth Students Recognize Organ Donation During Football Game

Plymouth students showed their support for organ donation during Friday night’s football game between the Rockies and Northridge.

Red cowbells were passed out in the student sections on both sides of the field. Raising awareness seems fitting in the Plymouth School Corporation following an organ donation to Superintendent Dan Tyree.

Tyree received the kidney transplant this summer. His living donor, a former student at Plymouth, joined Tyree at the game as a show of support.

Donation awareness also had an effect on Northridge fans. The school’s freshman football coach Bryan Fisher was the recipient of a heart transplant.

The Indiana Donor Network was also be on hand to provide information about the organ donation process. Those interested can register on the spot to become an organ donor.
