A Bourbon-based business is now on its way to creating five new full-time jobs in Marshall County.
The County Council held a special meeting earlier this week to consider abating property taxes for Faulker Fabricating. The company has been in the Marshall County area for the past 25 years and says that property tax relief over the next 10 years will lead to job creation.
Prior to approving the abatement, the Marshall County Council had to first declare the area in which Faulkner Fabricating resides as a revitalization zone. That process was approved at a meeting in July.
Apart from additional hiring, Faulkner Fabricating says it will be adding several thousand square feet to its site. The extra room will allow space for equipment and employees. The company’s owner has previously said the expansion will hopefully allow them to better serve customers.
The Marshall County Council approved the property tax levy abatement unanimously.
