The Town of Culver is receiving more monetary assistance from the Culver Redevelopment Commission to go towards the new water treatment plant project. The commission announced last week at the town council meeting they will be giving $100,000 to the town. Culver has also received a $500,000 grant from the State Office of Community and Rural Affairs for the project. It carries an estimated cost of $1.4 million. Town officials will cover the remaining cost by obtaining a 20-year low-interest loan from the state. The Redevelopment Commission will also give an additional $30,000 each year through the 20 year loan time frame. The project timeline calls for bids to be received by April 30th and work to start in the summer.
