Plymouth Police detectives are searching for a suspect in a reported armed robbery incident at Verizon Wireless Monday night.
The victim told police that the man entered the store at 1605 N. Michigan Street in Plymouth wearing a mask, orange vest, black pants, and shirt. The suspect, a black male, branished a weapon and reportedly took several phones from the store. The man left the business in an unknown direction.
Increased cell phone coverage may be coming to Centennial Park in Plymouth. Last year, Verizon had a truck placed in the park to provide additional coverage during the Marshall County Blueberry Festival. Now, the company’s looking for a year-round solution. Continue reading
The Plymouth Board of Zoning Appeals discussed a request to place a 164-foot monopole communications tower at 12091 Plymouth Goshen Trail.
Mike Howley represents Central States Tower and co-applicant Verizon Wireless and presented information to the quorum of BZA members on Tuesday night. Verizon Wireless officials have paperwork filed to construct a tower on the Read Fields, LTD property near U.S. 30 and U.S. 31. They want to fill a gap in cell phone and wireless coverage for businesses, homeowners and industry in that area. The capacity level would also improve. Four antennas could be placed on the tower. It would not need to be lighted.
