Bremen Town Council Passes Ordinance for End of Year Fiscal Transfers

BREMEN—The Bremen Town Council passed their annual end-of-the-year fiscal transfer ordinance and takes unused funds from certain accounts for town departments and appropriates it for other needs in the town. When this occurs, the money being transferred is typically from unused miscellaneous funds.

John Glenn School Board Discusses Enrollment, Transfers

The John Glenn School Board members may need to make a decision to add to their facilities if enrollment numbers keep trending in an upward fashion.

The school board members discussed enrollment and transfers in a work session Tuesday night. According to Recording Secretary Lisa Sleek, they reviewed data from the past five or six years and found that enrollment increases 1.5 percent each school year. They analyzed classroom size per building and the number of students per class. The discussion included function and capacity at each school with the numbers they are working with and what the corporation could see in a few years.

Plymouth Clerk-Treasurer Permitted to Carry out Year-End Financial Obligations

Plymouth Clerk-Treasurer Jeanine Xaver sought permission to carry out year-end financial obligations during the city council meeting Wednesday night.

Clerk-Treasurer Xaver asked board members for the go ahead to make year-end transfers and encumbrances as necessary. She added that the figures will be added to the minutes from the meeting. Continue reading
