Members of the Marshall County Crossroads Regional Stellar Communities Designation Initiative will host the Lieutenant Governor and members from the Office of Community and Rural Affairs in a Stellarbration event.

Marshall County Crossroads has officially been designated this year’s Stellar Community. The designation opens the door to millions of dollars of grant opportunities from various state agencies and federal programs. Lieutenant Governor Suzanne Crouch and the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs made the announcement Thursday morning.

Culver town officials, county representatives, Housing Developer Kevin Berger, and other dignitaries helped break ground on the Sand Hill Farm workforce housing development in Culver Wednesday afternoon.
The housing development includes 24 apartments that will feature affordable one, two and three bedroom units at 540 W. Jefferson Street with hopes of the project complete in 2018. Elkay, one of Culver’s largest employers, will provide the cabinetry for the units in an extensive project partnership. Continue reading
Culver Stellarbration and Sand Hill Farm Groundbreaking Today
The Town of Culver’s Stellarbration event is set for today at the Culver Beach Lodge. The town was named a Stellar Community in the state’s Stellar Communities Designation Program on Oct. 18 after two years of hard work to achieve the status.
Prior to this event, officials will conduct a groundbreaking ceremony on the Sand Hill Farms workforce housing development which is a project detailed in the Stellar Communities application. Construction of this structure will provide housing for those seeking one, two or three bedroom apartments who want to make Culver their home. The project helps complete goals of increasing housing and population, plus an increase in enrollment and economy in Culver. Continue reading
Culver Stellarbration Time Moved Back
The time for Culver’s local Stellarbration event has been amended to accommodate a change in Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch’s schedule.
Culver was named the Division II Stellar Community by Lt. Governor Crouch on Wednesday, Oct. 18. The state Stellarbration was held the following week while the Town of Culver scheduled the local event for Nov. 8. The start time for the event has been moved to 4:30 p.m. ET. Continue reading
Culver Stellarbration Set for Nov. 8
The state recognition of the Stellar Communities Designation Program designees is set for today from 10 a.m. to noon ET in Indianapolis. Officials from the Town of Culver and the City of Madison will attend today’s festivities as a Stellarbration of becoming stellar communities.
Culver’s local Stellarbration will be held Wednesday, Nov. 8 at the Culver Beach Lodge. Town Manager Jonathan Leist told the Culver Town Council Tuesday night that Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch will attend the local event that begins at 3 p.m. with an open house from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. ET. The public is invited to attend.
Town of Culver to Take Part in Stellarbration Activities
Culver Town officials and those who are a part of the Stellar Committee will be joining Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch for a Stellarbration on Wednesday, Oct. 25 from 10 a.m. to noon ET at the Indiana Statehouse North Atrium in Indianapolis.
The Town of Culver and the City of Madison were officially named Stellar Communities in the Stellar Communities Designation Program in their respective divisions on Wednesday, Oct. 18.
