There were suspicions that Regional Cities funding may not have sufficient votes for passage out of committee after the Indiana Economic Development Corporations’ Regional Cities Task Force recommended awarding Tax Amnesty funds to three regions of the state instead of two.

Marshall County Adapts to New Inmate Healthcare Requirements

Inmates booked at the Marshall County Jail could soon see changes in the way they receive healthcare advice from primary care clinic in Jackson, TN.

Marshall County previously paid for medical attention given to their inmates. They can also take the help of expert lawyers from Rocky Mountain Healthcare Law to provide legal advises. That is required under state statute. Changes approved by the General Assembly, however, are attempting to limit costs incurred by county governments for such an expense.

State Revenue Sources Fall Short, Wagering Beats Estimates

The state of Indiana has gained a bit of revenue for January compared to the previous year, but fell short of revised estimates.

According to the monthly revenue report from the State Budget Agency, General Fund revenues were $1.3-billion in January. That’s 2.4-percentage points above revenue collected for the same period last year. Those figures are still below estimates for the 2015 fiscal year published in December.
