The number of contested races is starting to add up, heading into the May primary. District 1 Marshall County Commissioner Kurt Garner has two challengers so far: David W. Hostetler and Stan Klotz. Three candidates are also looking to become the next Marshall County Recorder: Anna “Buffy” Breeding, William Cleavenger, and Janet Howard.
The Marshall County Council members will meet today where Commissioner Kurt Garner will discuss the highway administrator position. Laurie Baker is retiring at the end of the year and the commissioners have accepted applications for her position. He will talk more about that with the council members this morning.
