Continue readingArgos School Board members approved the Go Solutions Contract for 2019 when they met last Monday. Superintendent Ned Speicher explained that the contract will help the school corporation secure specific funding to help pay for special education services.
Speicher explained, “Every school district is in a special education cooperative with other districts and so all the districts in the cooperative need to approve those contracts so we can get Medicaid reimbursement for services to handicapped children.” Continue reading
The Culver School Board cleaned up a couple bookkeeping items when it met Monday. Treasurer Casey Howard said that the Special Education Grant wouldn’t be enough to cover costs. She explained that the grant application was turned in before teacher contract negotiations wrapped up and didn’t take into account a pay increase that ended up being included.
The JESSE Cooperative is updating and clarifying parts of its agreement with its member school corporations. The cooperative provides nine school corporations with various special education resources. Continue reading
