The Plymouth man who admitted to beating his girlfriend’s toddler to death for wetting the bed will learn his fate today in a Marshall County courtroom. Shane Weeding entered a guilty plea to murder during a Sept. 13 court appearance in connection with 2-year-old Serenity Wilson’s death last September at the Economy Inn Motel in Plymouth. Authorities in Marshall County are investigating the death of a two-year-old girl. The child’s mother brought her to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth around 2:30 p.m. Friday. Police were notified because the youngster was unconscious with a serious head injury. The police report indicates older injuries were also visible on the child’s body.
