
The Shady Rest Committee will meet soon to discuss soft proposals and other needs for the facility on Lincoln Highway in Plymouth.
The Marshall County Home has been empty since the county took over the property on Aug. 1. The Bowen Center vacated the property after many years of service to those needing mental health assistance.





Marshall County Commissioner Kurt Garner updated the county council on the formation of the Shady Rest Committee. Nine members will serve on the committee that will help decide what uses the building can support
A facility providing mental health services plans to legally separate some of its operations, in anticipation of changes at the state level. The Bowen Center took over operations of the Shady Rest Home from Marshall County in 2002.
