Work on Culver Community Middle/High School’s secure entrance is moving along. As part of the project, a new main entrance is being built where the library was, while other areas are being reconfigured.
The State of Indiana has awarded more than $14 million in this year’s round of Secured School Safety grants. The program provides a 50-50 match to help schools buy security equipment, hire resource officers, or conduct threat assessments.

The Culver School Board is expected to formally accept Superintendent Vicki McGuire’s resignation this evening. McGuire is leaving Culver to take over as superintendent at the Eastern Hancock school corporation in Central Indiana. Continue reading
The Culver Community Schools Corporation has wrapped up its bond refunding process. Superintendent Vicki McGuire says it will give the corporation just under a million dollars for some small construction projects. Some planned improvements include concrete and roof repairs, as well as the purchase of a utility truck. Continue reading
