An effort to raise matching funds for the first phase of a renovation effort at the REES Theatre in Plymouth has paid off.
REES Theater Project Nears Fundraising Goal as Deadline Approaches
The REES Theater restoration effort is close to qualifying for a $300,000 grant, but time is running out. As of Monday afternoon, the project was within $150,000 of its $1.5 million fundraising goal, according to project organizers. The goal has to be reached by tonight at midnight, in order to get the $300,000 from the Regional Cities Initiative.
Hoosier Racing Tire Contributes $50,000 to REES Theater Restoration Project
The restoration of Plymouth’s REES Theater got a financial boost Friday. Hoosier Racing Tire announced a $50,000 contribution to the effort, according to a press release from project organizers. It matches a donation from the Plymouth Industrial Development Corporation (PIDCO) this past summer.
REES Theater Project Committee Moves Forward
The deadline has come and gone for donations to match a Regional Cities grant for renovations to the REES Theater, but the deadline was extended to allow for more time to gather the match money needed.
