Bremen High School Senior Emma Hundt has been named the Marshall County Community Foundation 2018 Lilly Endowment Community Scholar.
As the recipient of the 2018 Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship, she will receive a four-year, full tuition scholarship to the Indiana college of her choice, as well as a $900 annual stipend for required equipment and books. The Indiana Department of Transportation is offer a scholarship program to civil engineering students that also includes summer and post-graduation employment opportunities.
The INDOT Scholarship program utilizes federal funds to offer up to $3,125 per semester or $2,083 per trimester for up to five years of post-secondary civil engineering education. The scholarship funds can be applied to educational expenses, fees and books. In return, recipients would work for INDOT in full-time, paid positions during summer breaks and upon graduation. Ancilla College officials are finalizing plans to add an agriculture degree program. Vice President of Development Todd Zeltwanger says all of the credits from the associate degree offering would be fully transferable to Purdue. He says school officials are putting finishing touches on the offering now in anticipation of a fall launch. Continue reading
