INDOT to Host Public Information Meetings for Next Phase of ProPEL U.S. 30 and U.S. 31 Studies

The Indiana Department of Transportation will host seven public information meetings as it continues its Planning and Environment Linkage (PEL) studies along the U.S. 30 and U.S. 31 corridors in northern Indiana. The purpose of the meetings is to share potential improvement packages at primary and secondary intersections, which are detailed in each study’s Draft Level 3 Screening Report. Draft reports are now available for viewing on the ProPEL U.S. 30 and ProPEL U.S. 31 study websites.

Plymouth Common Council Hears ProPEL US 30 West Update

The Plymouth Common Council was updated on the ProPEL US 30 West study during the last regular meeting. The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) started the Planning and Environmental Linkage (PEL) studies, known as the ProPEL U.S. 30 and ProPEL U.S. 31, to evaluate the transportation needs of the corridors which total 180 miles across 12 Indiana counties. Plymouth is impacted by both U.S. 30 and U.S. 31; including the major intersection.

INDOT Provides Update on ProPEL U.S. 30 and U.S. 31 Studies

Officials from the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) are encouraging community feedback on its planning studies along the U.S. 30 and U.S. 31 corridors in northern Indiana. The study teams have identified 55 potential solutions to address issues, needs and desired outcomes along the corridors. The list of potential concepts, known as the “Universe of Alternatives”, is tailored to each study area.
