A Plymouth High School English teacher has been promoted to assistant principal. Josh Martin was appointed to the position by the school board Thursday, at the recommendation of Superintendent Andy Hartley. “Josh has been at Plymouth High School for quite some time now, has served in many roles: an English Department teacher, department chair for the past several years, has been a lead teacher, has also served as our head boys soccer coach,” Hartley said. “We had nearly 40 applicants for the position, and Josh rose to the top and will be a great addition to that administrative team as they continue to progress.”

The Plymouth Community School Corporation is changing the way it handles unexcused absences. Dean of Students Ken Olson presented the corporation’s new truancy policies to the school board Tuesday, as part of larger changes to the student handbooks.
Plymouth Administrator Named IASP District 2 Assistant Principal of the Year
A Plymouth High School administrator was recently chosen as the Indiana Association of School Principals’ District 2 Assistant Principal of the Year.
Assistant Principal Ken Olson received the distinction after he was nominated by his district peers for the award. In order to be nominated, a candidate must not only be involved in school leadership, but they should also be active in the community.
Olson has served as a proud member of the Leadership Marshall County Board since 2014 and has been working for Plymouth schools for the past eight years, according to Plymouth Community School Corporation Marketing Director Judi Lykoswki. Continue reading
e-Learning Policies Added to Plymouth Student Handbooks
The Plymouth Community School Corporation is formally updating some of its eLearning policies. On days when school is canceled due to weather or other reasons, eLearning days allow students to take part in classes and complete assignments online. Continue reading
