Thursday is the National Day of Prayer and this year’s theme is unity as the nation joins together to pray for one another, as well as the country as a whole.
In order to bring community members together on this special day, an event is being held with a special speaker who is sure to inspire individuals with their unique perspective.

Annual Prayer Breakfast to Feature Mike Lightfoot
The Annual Prayer Breakfast hosted by Plymouth Mayor Mark Senter is set for Thursday, May 3.
The keynote speaker is Mike Lightfoot. Lightfoot just recently completed 30 years as a head coach at Bethel College. He is now the regional director for Nations of Coaches. The organization mentors college coaches.
Mayor’s Annual Prayer Breakfast Draws Largest Crowd
Thursday’s annual Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast in Plymouth drew the largest crowd in the event’s history in the city.
Mayor Mark Senter welcomed the crowd of 280 participants to the 66th Annual Observance of the National Day of Prayer. The local observance has been in place for 44 years.
Bishop Kevin C. Rhoades from the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend was the keynote speaker where he gave hope to those who may be lost and guidance to the community in the holy spirit.

City of Plymouth to Celebrate National Day of Prayer Tomorrow
Churches, business and civic leaders and Marshall County residents will join in prayer and fellowship tomorrow to celebrate the National Day of Prayer. Indiana State Police Superintendent Doug Carter will keynote the City of Plymouth National Day of Prayer Breakfast. It starts at 6:30 a.m. at the Christo’s Banquet Center.
