Multiple Marshall County Residents Looking to Restore and Preserve Historic Districts

Despite inclement weather conditions, multiple community members ventured to Wild Rose Moon in Plymouth to attend the Wythougan Valley Preservation Council informational meeting that was held last Thursday.

According to Wythougan Valley President Kurt Garner, the meeting was held in order to inform individuals about various incentives, programs and opportunities available to business owners in historic districts.

There are 12 historic districts in Marshall County and they are sprinkled around Plymouth, Bourbon, Bremen, Argos and Culver. Continue reading →

Plymouth Students Recognize Manufacturing Day with Tours Around Town

Today, various businesses around town will have a chance to meet the next generation of workers as more than 260 Plymouth High School students tour facilities as a part of Manufacturing Day.

In a media advisory, the Marshall County Economic Development Corporation said this national event gives manufacturers the opportunity to open their doors to showcase their businesses and foster an interest in manufacturing careers.

The number of local businesses involved increased from 2016 and the ones participating are considered to better reflect the variety of work opportunities in Plymouth. Continue reading →

Plymouth Redevelopment Commission Agrees to Commit Funds

The Plymouth Redevelopment Commission committed to providing $40,000 worth of funding two different organizations when they met last week.

According to City Attorney Sean Surrisi, commission members agreed to recommit $30,000 to the Marshall County Economic Development Corporation. The same amount of funding was committed to the Marshall County EDC last year. Continue reading →
