A Bremen man was arrested at the Grovertown Truck Stop on U.S. 30 in the early morning hours of Monday, October 14 after Starke County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to an initial call of an unwanted man who had reportedly forcefully entered a residence in the 6,000 North block of 1100 E. in Starke County.

Ten people were arrested in the early morning hours on Sunday in a year-long undercover investigation called Operation Orthodox conducted by the Knox City Police Department.
Officers from the Knox City Police Department were assisted by the Starke County Sheriff’s Department and the Knox, North Judson and Plymouth Police Departments in executing the arrest warrants.

Monterey Deaths Ruled Murder-Suicide
Friday’s deaths of a Monterey couple in their home have been ruled a murder-suicide. Starke County Coroner Dannie Hoffer says Clifford Foster, 53, shot his wife, Lynn, age 52, in the head with a pistol before turning a shotgun on himself.
Plymouth Man Killed in Starke County Police Shootout
A Plymouth man who tried unsuccessfully to run from police in Starke County is dead following a police-involved shooting. The incident happened around 9:15 a.m. today, according to the Indiana State Police. They were called in to investigate since deputies from the Starke County Sheriff’s Office and officers from the Knox City Police Department were involved. Continue reading
