Highway Supervisor Pay Discussed by County Council
The Marshall County Council members approved a new salary for Highway Supervisor Jason Peters.
Salary Unchanged for County Engineer Position
The Marshall County Council members briefly discussed the salary for the vacant county highway engineer position, but did not make a formal motion to increase the proposed salary range.
Marshall County Council Discusses Part-Time Code Enforcement Officer Position
The part-time code enforcement officer position will have to wait.
Marshall County Planning Commission President Stan Klotz presented the Marshall County Council members on Monday morning with the proposed job description for the position. The wages would be between $17.40 and $20.05 an hour based on a 15-hour work week.
Commissioners Ratify Agreement with HERC
The Marshall County Commissioners approved a contract with Heavy Equipment Response Coalition (HERC) for flood emergency clean-up services.
The county and the City of Plymouth entered into an agreement with the not-for-profit agency where volunteer disaster response services, supplies and materials will be provided. Josh Walker helped solicit the organization out of Michigan to help with efforts during the flood event. The volunteers with the organization were coming back from relief efforts from hurricane activity in the south and stopped in at Plymouth to offer help.
