A bill authored by a local lawmaker to help provide fresh food to underserved areas will move to the full Senate for consideration. The measure, sponsored by Sen. Randy Head, R-Logansport, would allow the State Department of Health to help new and existing businesses and nonprofits offer fresh and unprocessed foods to communities in food deserts, which are underserved geographic areas where affordable and healthy foods are difficult to obtain. Pseudoephedrine Regulation Proposed to Curb Meth Problem
State lawmakers may consider further regulating cold medication sales in an effort to curb Indiana’s methamphetamine epidemic. Sen.
