Marshall County Election Board Approves Resolution Concerning Early Voting
The Marshall County Election Board took action Tuesday morning to include new legislation that pertains to extracting early votes.
Clerk Deb VanDeMark explained that a vote may need to be withdrawn in the event that a voter who cast an early vote dies before Election Day. The current procedure involves a tedious process. Instead, a Voter ID will be assigned to the voter when they sign in and the machine on which the voter casts a ballot will be noted on the ballot receipt so that information can be easily obtained to correct. The 10-digit code can be entered and it will speed up the process.
