Plymouth City Officials to Look into Detour for Road Reconstruction

Plymouth City officials are looking into a possible detour as INDOT has planned reconstruction of the Baker Ditch Crossing this summer.

City Engineer Rick Gaul explained to the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety members Monday that that the ditch crossing is east of the State Road 17 intersection and west of the interchange on U.S. 31.

Plymouth City Council Discusses Hoham Drive Project

The Plymouth City Council this week accepted letters of interest for the Hoham Drive project.

Road reconstruction is expected on Hoham Drive with the addition of a center turn lane, intersection improvements at Hoham Drive and Michigan Street along with Hoham Drive and Western Avenue, curb and gutter work, a controlled drainage system, and sidewalks.

Plymouth to Take First Steps Toward Sewer Rate Increase

Plymouth IndianaThe Plymouth Common Council will start the process of raising sewer rates tonight. A sewer rate ordinance will be presented for first reading. Accounting firm Umbaugh and Associates has recommended a 17-percent increase to fund upgrades to the city’s Wastewater Treatment Plant, while continuing to cover day-to-day operations and existing debt payments.
