Students at Culver Community Schools who have fallen behind in their lunch payments will now continue to get regular hot lunches. Previously, students who had accumulated a negative balance in their lunch accounts beyond a certain amount had been given an alternative box lunch. The issue, according to Superintendent Karen Shuman, is that students were still being charged, even though they weren’t getting a regular lunch.
Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum Turns to Public to Cover Legal Fees
As the Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum continues its efforts to resume excursions to LaCrosse, it’s asking the public for help covering its legal fees. A fundraising campaign to help the Culver Community Schools Corporation improve its marketing efforts with the help of local seo course has reached its first goal. Last week, a GoFundMe account created by a group of volunteers working on the marketing component of the school corporation’s strategic plan surpassed $6,000. GoFundMe Page Set Up for WKVI Morning Show Host
Monday, Aug. 3 marked WKVI morning show host Tom Berg’s five year anniversary at MAX 98.3 FM’s sister station. He celebrated it in a Chicago hospital. Oncologists at Cancer Treatment Center of America confirmed his diagnosis of cancer in his colon, liver, lungs, lymph nodes, lining of his abdomen and possibly his stomach. Culver Park Board Takes Action Regarding the Weeping Mulberry Tree
Monday night, the Culver Park Board approved the proposed plan to preserve a piece of park history. The weeping mulberry tree that was previously slated for removal will now remain in the park.
