Plymouth City Police Chief David Bacon asked the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety members Monday night to start the process of finding a replacement for Detective Leo Mangus who will be leaving the force on Aug. 31.
Marshall County Coroner Releases Name of Deceased Man Found Saturday Evening
The Marshall County Coroner has released the name of the man who was found deceased in a Plymouth home on Saturday, January 27th.
As previously reported, Plymouth Police, Paramedics and Firefighters were dispatched to a house on West LaPorte Street, Saturday evening. An unresponsive male subject, later identified as 50-year-old Joseph F. Dillard, was found in an upstairs bedroom. According to the news release, he was not breathing and had no pulse. Plymouth Police Looking for Armed Robbery Suspect
Plymouth Police detectives are searching for a suspect in a reported armed robbery incident at Verizon Wireless Monday night.
The victim told police that the man entered the store at 1605 N. Michigan Street in Plymouth wearing a mask, orange vest, black pants, and shirt. The suspect, a black male, branished a weapon and reportedly took several phones from the store. The man left the business in an unknown direction.

South Bend Woman Arrested in Forgery Investigation
A South Bend woman was arrested on Friday, April 10 on a warrant after an investigation in forgery was conducted by the Plymouth Police Department.
The investigation began on Sept. 11, 2014 when police received information that a Seven Oaks Veterinary Clinic employee was given false information on financial documents provided by a customer. Plymouth detectives pursued the case and found that the customer included a fictitious name and forged the name on a document.
