Continue readingCulver Community Middle/High School’s new main entrance is just about done. “All glass is in,” Superintendent Karen Shuman told the school board Monday. “All rooms are created. All plumbing is into the nurse’s station. All painting is completed. All furniture has been delivered. And all carpet has been replaced that needed replaced. So at this point, we are just waiting for trim to be finalized and cleaning of the whole zone to make it shine.”
Upgrades to Culver Community Middle/High School will soon be able to move ahead. The school board voted Monday to use bond money to move the main entrance and office to where the school’s library currently is. Board member Mark Maes commented that the new arrangement would be a big upgrade, both for safety and aesthetics. Some of the bond money will also be used to remodel the restrooms across from the high school gym.
The Culver School Board approved a list of bond projects when they met earlier this week.
The school corporation has approximately $350,000 remaining from some bonds that were acquired three years ago, according to Superintendent Karen Shuman. That money will be spent on three different projects at the Middle/High School. Continue reading
The Red Cross Blood Mobile will be stationed at Culver Middle/High School from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. ET on Thursday, January 11th.

The Red Cross has a blood drive scheduled at the Community Wellness Center of Winamac, formerly the Pulaski County YMCA, from 12:30 p.m. until 6 p.m. ET on Friday, January 12th. Continue reading
