Damore Amphitheater Grand Opening Set for Tonight
The Damore Amphitheater that overlooks Lake Maxinkuckee in Culver will be the focus of the community tonight as the grand opening celebration kicks off at 6:30 p.m. ET in the Culver-Union Township Park.

The Culver Town Council members considered the event permit request for the 35th Annual Culver Lake Fest.
Culver Lake Fest Begins Today
The annual Culver Lake Fest celebration begins today with events beginning at 4 p.m. ET at the Culver Town Park.
This year’s Grand Marshal of the parade is Elisabeth Davis. She will be 100 this year and she continues to work in the office at Culver Military Academy. She’s been working there since 1936. Yes, Elisabeth Davis has been employed one of Culver’s largest employers for 81 years. According to an article dedicated to Mrs. Davis’ rich history in in the Culver Lake Fest guide, Jeff Kenney writes that she attended school in Culver and took typing and shorthand which helped her gain employment at Culver Military Academy.
Culver Lake Fest Begins Friday
The annual Culver Lake Fest event is set for Friday, July 14 through Sunday, July 16.
The festival opens Friday at 4 p.m. ET with craft and food booths available and the sand volleyball tournaments. Registration for the canoe, kayak and SUP Poker Run is at 5:30 p.m. with the awards at 7 p.m. The Miss Maxinkuckee Pageant kicks off at 7 p.m. at the west pavilion and talent at Lake Max is at 8 p.m.
Culver Town Council Approves Culver Lake Fest Event
The Culver Town Council received an official permit request for the annual Culver Lake Fest event.
The annual celebration is scheduled for July 14-16 at the Culver Town Park. Town Manager Jonathan Leist explained to the council that a trolley will be taking visitors to and from the event which is a new feature this year. Residents will park at the Culver Community High School and be transported to the location of the festivities.

32nd Annual Culver Lake Fest Starts Today
As a part of the annual festival this year, Culver Lake Fest is commemorating the Culver-Union Township Public Library’s centennial by making the theme of this year’s parade ‘100 years of Reading’.
