This year marks a celebration of a full century of Plymouth women coming together to enrich the community in areas of education, culture and charity. Tri Kappa has continuously provided community service over the years at little or no public expense.
Plymouth Students Raise Hundreds for Charitable Cause
The final tally is in and students at Riverside Intermediate School in Plymouth have raised hundreds for a charitable cause.
Fifth graders and teachers constructed a doghouse as part of an after-school mentoring program in an effort to raise money for the Marshall County Humane Society.

Students at Riverside Intermediate School have completed a project that they hope can raise a bit of money.
According to information provided by the Plymouth School Corporation, the students constructed a dog house with the help of several teachers from various subjects. The dog house along with lick mats for dogs, which is considered quite elaborate, is on display in the entry at Riverside.

Matching Grant Opportunities Allow Flexibility For Local Charitable Group
The Marshall County Community Foundation is inching closer to receiving some major grant funds.
The Lilly Endowment announced a matching funds grant challenge in 2014. The Giving Indiana Funds for Tomorrow (GIFT) grant is designed to give charitable organizations a bit of flexibility in how their funds are used. According to a press release, local communities have raised around $130-million for communities in the state.
Adopt-a-Hunter Continues Memory and Opportunity
Dollars are being accepted to host an event that helps those with mobility issues.
Through their Adopt-a-Hunter program, the Eric Corey Foundation allows those with physical challenges to get away from the recurring doctor’s visits that many live with on a daily basis. The foundation was started after the late 15-year-old, who was an avid hunter, was diagnosed with ALS.
