Center at Donaldson will be hosting their Christmas event on Sunday, December 10th. The event will kick-off with the children’s choral performance at 3 p.m. ET, followed by family activities from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m.
Children will have the opportunity to have their picture taken with Santa and can even decorate a frame for their picture. Other activities include face painting and cookie decorating. Continue reading
Storytelling Workshop Set for August
A storytelling workshop to assist residents with the element of composition and performing/telling stories is set for Thursday, Aug. 10 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Center at Donaldson.
Storyteller Roger Batton from Three Oaks, Michigan will be on hand to give tips.
Earthworks Summer Curriculum Released
This summer’s curriculum for the Earthworks organization at The Center at Donaldson is based on the DNR’s “Project Wild” program. This curriculum provides a wide range of environmental activities for children.
According to Adam Thada, Ecological Relationships Director at The Center at Donaldson, trail cameras will be installed to study the lives of the wildlife on campus. Children participating in the program will learn about the animals seen on campus and their habitat.
Candidates Appeal to Marshall County Voters Before Election Day
The Center at Donaldson provided an opportunity for voters to better acquaint themselves with candidates seeking elected office.
Thursday night’s candidate forum saw representatives for state office, and those seeking office at the county and local level discuss their experience and explain some of their positions and how it might influence Marshall County residents.
