The Plymouth School Board officially hired a new transportation director and high school volleyball coach last week. Assistant Director of Transportation Brandon Berger will transfer to the director’s position on July 1. He’ll replace Brenda Uceny, who’s retiring at the end of the school year.

The Plymouth School Board will consider an increase in student meal prices tonight. Under the proposal, the cost of lunch would generally go up by 10 cents, while milk and breakfast prices would go up five cents, starting next school year.

Plymouth High School students raised more than $44,500 for Riley Children’s Hospital during this year’s Dance Marathon. That’s more than $4,500 over this year’s goal. The Dance Marathon participants were congratulated during Tuesday’s school board meeting by Board President Todd Samuelson, who noted how much the event has grown over the years.
