Two are in jail after methamphetamine and cocaine were reportedly found in a vehicle during a traffic stop.
According to Sgt. Trent Stouder of the Bremen Police Department, he pulled over a vehicle on Sunday, March 5 for a traffic violation where the drugs were found during a search of the vehicle. Police say three ounces of methamphetamine and three grams of cocaine were found, along with a handgun reported stolen in Angola.




A Wakarusa man faces a battery charge in Marshall County after he reportedly fought with officers who were trying to arrest him.

A Bremen woman reported missing yesterday has been located. Maria Mikel, 50, was found shortly before 4:00 p.m. Saturday in St. Joseph County, according to the Bremen Police Department.
Things are returning to normal in Bremen after a gas leak caused widespread evacuations in the community. An INDOT contractor struck a gas line near Woodie’s Supermarket in on Bowen Avenue yesterday afternoon, according to officials with the Bremen Police Department and Marshall County Emergency Management Agency.
Last week’s Prescription Drug Take Back Event resulted in nearly 1,400 pounds of unwanted drugs being collected by Indiana State Police. That’s not counting those collected by 36 other law enforcement agencies around the state who took part in the event, including the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department and the Bremen Police Department.
A Bremen man faces multiple felony charges following his arrest early this morning. A Bremen Police Department Patrolman responded to a report of a suspicious person in the 1100 block of West Plymouth Street around 3:30 a.m., according to the police report.
