MARSHALL COUNTY — The Plymouth Common Council affirmed their trust in the Marshall County Blueberry Festival Committee to facilitate a safe Beer Garden by approving Ordinance No. 2022-193, An Ordinance to Amend the Code of Ordinances of the City of Plymouth Concerning Alcoholic Beverages During Blueberry Festival on second and third read.

Emergency Management Agency Director Seeks Request Approval from Marshall County Commissioners

The Marshall County Commissioners considered a number of requests submitted by Emergency Management Agency Director Clyde Avery when they met Monday morning.

Director Avery told the Commissioners that the Blueberry Festival security requested to use the Emergency Operations Center from August 30th through September 3rd. He explained, “They’ve used it in the past, they’ve been provided access to the building and to that room specifically so they can use the equipment.”

Applications Available for Miss Blueberry Pageant

An annual scholarship pageant for girls in Marshall County now has applications available.

The 2015 Miss Blueberry Pageant will take place June 27th at the Argos High School Auditorium. The pageant is held prior to the Marshall County Blueberry Festival which acts as a continuation of a 150th anniversary celebration of Marshall County and honors the areas’ blueberry crop production. That festival will take place Labor Day weekend.
