The INDOT Scholarship program utilizes federal funds to offer up to $3,125 per semester or $2,083 per trimester for up to five years of post-secondary civil engineering education. The scholarship funds can be applied to educational expenses, fees and books. In return, recipients would work for INDOT in full-time, paid positions during summer breaks and upon graduation. The Culver Town Council and members of the Stellar Communities Steering Committee are gearing up for another year of preparation.
Culver was named a finalist in the small population category in the state’s Stellar Communities program. They were eventually bested by Corydon. Stellar Communities helps with planning and future grant applications by designating a community worthy of extensive state investment.
Applications will be accepted until the end of August for reserved hunts in the state of Indiana.
Purdue University Northwest is hosting an event next week that hopes to get students to enroll a bit quicker than usual.
