Argos Officials Collect Over $700 for Fire Department Run after Billing Through AccuMed
Argos officials were alerted last Wednesday that AccuMed recently sent in the first payment that was collected from a Fire Department run.

The possibility of charging for some additional fire department calls was briefly discussed during the Argos Town Council meeting last Wednesday.
Currently, the town only bills for structure fires. However, Clerk-Treasurer Lisa Mullaney explained that the problem is that even when someone is billed, they don’t always follow through with a payment.
Since officials are now considering billing for HAZMAT calls and potentially others, Mullaney suggested that they utilize the same company they use for EMS billing. Continue reading
