BREMEN — On Nov. 19, the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was notified of an accident on State Road 331 at 1st Road in Bremen.
Marshall County deputies were advised of the accident and then were told that a person had left the scene and was headed north. Deputies located the vehicle involved and took the driver into custody. The driver was identified as John Dreibelbis Jr., 63, of Wyatt. It was found that Dreibelbis had been drinking and was found to be intoxicated. Dreibelbis had a blood alcohol content of over three times the legal limit.
He was first checked out at the hospital and then taken to the Marshall County Jail, where he was charged and booked for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.
Suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
