On Tuesday, Nov. 21, at 3:34 p.m., Marshall County Central Dispatch was advised of a two-vehicle collision between a passenger car and a semi-tractor trailer at US 31 and SR 110.

The Culver Town Council members again approved overtime for Town Marshal Wayne Bean at their most recent meeting. 

The Plymouth Common Council was presented with an ordinance amending the city code regarding the Plymouth Community Ambulance Service on first reading during their last regular meeting. This ordinance will not be approved or denied until the next meeting which is scheduled for tonight at 6:30 p.m. 

Plymouth Community Schools have undertaken a financial literacy program as part of the Junior Achievement offerings to teach students the basics of using money wisely, building credit and even getting a mortgage. The kick-off event was this past Friday with Darlene Derifield facilitating the 7th grade course at Lincoln Jr High.

Plymouth Police made a traffic stop for speeding on Nov. 19 at 1:29 a.m. at US 30 and Oak Road.

The Bourbon Town Council held its regular meeting on Nov. 14. 

The Marshall County Commissioners have terminated the countywide burn ban, effective immediately.

At its final scheduled meeting of 2023, the Kankakee River Basin and Yellow River Basin Development Commission received a report highlighting the year’s flood mitigation projects.

The Culver Community School Corporation formally requested to the Culver Town Council the vacation of an alley on corporation property. 

On Nov. 16 at 1:30 a.m. K-9 Officer Diesel and deputies with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, with the assistance of officers from the Plymouth Police Department, conducted an investigation and executed a search warrant at the Economy Inn in Plymouth. Arrested were 39-year-old Gary Parks, 31-year-old Ashley Felix, and 59-year-old Albert Graham Sr. all of Plymouth.

On Nov. 14 at 2:46 a.m. Plymouth Police responded to a domestic disturbance on Dora Lane.

Plymouth Police were dispatched to Walmart on Nov. 15 at 10:30 a.m. for a report of a suspect attempting to leave the store with a cart full of unpaid items.

On Nov. 13 at 10:45 p.m. Plymouth Police officers investigated a call in the area of Skylane Drive.

The Marshall County Commissioners approved the request made by Judge Dean Colvin, President of Marshall County Community Corrections (MCCC) Advisory Board to approve the appointment of Andrew “Beau” Holcomb as the new Director.

Culver-Union Township Fire Chief Terry Wakefield asked the Culver Town Council members for permission to purchase a trailer for dive equipment out of the fire department’s budget.
