A dense fog advisory is in effect through mid-morning. Visibility will be reduced to a quarter of a mile or less in places. The fog is expected to lift by 9 a.m. Eastern, 8 a.m. Central. Until then, motorists should slow down, use low-beam headlights for visibility and leave plenty of distance between vehicles.
The Marshall County Blueberry Festival will have a larger fireworks display this year, thanks to the City of Plymouth. Members of the Plymouth Common Council Monday voted to give the festival $25,000 for upgrades to this year’s fireworks. Marshall County plans to expand its Emergency Management Agency Department for added security at the county building.
The matter was discussed last week by the County Commissioners, but funding the proposal was addressed by the County Council on Monday morning. The man who robbed the Dollar General store in Plymouth Friday evening is believed to have struck in North Judson yesterday. Police there say a man in a white baseball cap, black sweatshirt and jeans walked into the store around 4:45 p.m., waited until the clerk was alone, demanded money and left on foot. Continue reading

Investigations started following the closure of Stone Creek Homes in Plymouth in May of 2012. According to information provided by the prosecutor’s office, the company was shuttered without warning to customers or employees.
