WALKERTON – Rose L. Stephani of Walkerton passed away on Monday, January 31, 2022, in her home following an illness. She was born on January 3, 1950, in LaPorte to the late Louis C. and Linda (Schultz) Stephani and was 72 years-old at the time of her death.
She lived in the area her entire life and had retired from Rexam Beverage in Valparaiso. Rose was a very caring and loving lady who never met a stranger. She also loved shopping and caring for her house (especially her lawn).
Rose is survived by two sons Timothy (Kathleen) Heck and Michael Heck; five grandchildren David and Jeremy Wright, Zachary and Taylor Heck, and Allison Heck; five great grandchildren Lucas, Lacie, Penelope, Hazel, and Salix; and one brother Dave (Gloria) Stephani of Hamlet. She is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters Arlene Chambers and Mary Smith; and one brother Fredrick Stephani.
Visiting hours will be 4:00 to 6:00 EST Sunday, February 6, 2022, at the Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM EST Monday, February 7 with a short visitation an hour before the funeral, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Grovertown Cemetery.
