Elbert Roberts, age 59, of Plymouth, IN passed away on Friday, May 12, 2023 in St. Joseph Medical Center of Mishawaka, IN.
Elbert was born to Silas and Ollie Roberts on October 11, 1963 in Chicago, IL. He attended St. Michael Catholic Church of Plymouth, IN. He married Thalia Lisa Soria on February 26, 1983. He worked as a Slitter (paper cutter) for Foil Lamination of Plymouth, IN. He loved his family and enjoyed old cars, restoring and rebuilding motors, and he loved carpentry and building things, including building his own home. He also loved music and was always listening to it, especially classic rock music.
Elbert will be missed by his wife, Thalia; his daughter, Brandy Roberts of Plymouth, IN; his sons: Brandon Roberts of Plymouth, IN and Bryant Roberts of Plymouth, IN; his grandchildren: Chloe Roberts of Plymouth, IN; Evy Roberts of Plymouth, IN; Kyren Roberts of Plymouth, IN; and his brother, Silas James (Erica) Roberts of Lakeville, IN.
Elbert is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Wanda Clemens; and his brothers, Billy Roberts; George Miller; and Donald Miller.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Deaton-Clemens Van Gilder Funeral Home (300 W. Madison St., Plymouth, IN 46563).
Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church (612 N. Walnut St., Plymouth, IN 46563) with Father Keeton presiding.
Burial will follow at New Oak Hill Cemetery (Plymouth, IN).
Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association (PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284).
