CULVER – Charles K. “Chuck” Ream of rural Culver passed away on Friday, August 5, 2022, in his home following an illness. He was born on April 1, 1942, in Knox to the late Nicholas and Etta (Davis) Ream. He was 80 years-old at the time of his death.
He lived in the area his entire life and was a retired from BPI where he worked as a laborer. On October 8, 1965, in Knox, he married the love of his life Kathleen “Kit” Emigh. Chuck was a veteran of the US Air Force, a member of Eagle Creek Church, Knox, and a past member of the Washington Township Fire Department. He was soft spoken, kind man who never met a stranger. Most of all, Chuck cherished his family dearly. Chuck is survived by his beloved wife Kit of Culver; three sons Nicholas (Wendy) Ream of Hebron, Joshua (Rebecca) Ream of Culver, and Kristopher (Patty) Ream of Greenwood; eight grandchildren; one great granddaughter; and two brothers Thomas (Ruth Ann) Ream and John (Alice) Ream all of Michigan City. He is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; and one sister.
Visiting hours will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM CDT on Friday, August 12, 2022 at the Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel. Funeral services will be at 1:00 CDT also on Friday, August 12, at the funeral home. Cremation will take place after the service.
