Efforts to boost students’ social-emotional skills have earned Washington Discovery Academy some national recognition. Plymouth School Board Approves End-of-Year Items, Retirement Plan Documents

The Plymouth School Board took steps last week to close out 2019 and get ready for 2020. Board members passed a resolution authorizing Treasurer Kandi Tinkey to pre-write checks and make the normal transfers among funds, to process invoices between now and the end of the year. They also scheduled their first meeting in 2020 for Tuesday, January 7 at 7:00 p.m.

Transportation Update Given to Plymouth School Board

Taking more than 1,200 students to class every day is no small task, and the Plymouth Community School Corporation’s transportation office is doing it while navigating a nationwide bus driver shortage, new state laws, and inattentive motorists. Marshall County Educators Looking to Follow Up with Legislators after ‘Red for Ed’ Rally

City Tavern Building Demolition Order Affirmed by Court of Appeals

The removal of what’s left of the former City Tavern Building can finally proceed, following a lengthy legal battle. Town Attorney Jim Clevenger shared the Indiana Court of Appeals’ finding during Tuesday’s town council meeting.

“A 24-page public opinion on our case, ‘Culver versus The 27 Group and Mr. Scotty VanHawk,’ and the Court of Appeals affirmed the trial court order for demolition!” Clevenger announced.
